The Epic Failure Of Democratic Socialism In India And The 2025 New York City Mayoral Race

New York City’s 2025 Mayoral election is in progress as I write this blog.
Zohran Mamdani, the Muslim-American candidate who calls himself a “Democratic Socialist,” is leading at the polls. Mario Cuomo the “Socialistic Democrat,” is in the second place. Curtis Sliwa, the “Gut-sense-science” candidate, Republican Curtis Sliwa, is trailing in third place.
At this historic time, I would like to share with everyone, the story of “an inadvertent scientific experiment” in “Democratic Socialism” that suffered an ignominious failure of epic proportions in India, the world’s most populous and its second-most successful Democratic nation.
In my opinion, a “Democratic Socialist” is de facto a Marxist-Communist citizen of a Democratic country. The sole purpose of “Democratic Socialists in life, is to hijack the democratic process of selecting leaders by fair elections, secure a majority of the votes needed to usurp existing democratic governments, and replace them with Communist-Marxist dictatorships.
Mamdani’s posture that he is a “Democratic Socialist,” is the only truth that has come out of his mouth during his campaigns because he is a Muslim. Islam does not tolerate any other philosophy, and Marxism does not tolerate religion. Therefore, it becomes an incontrovertible scientific FACT that extreme philosophies that are intolerant of any other thoughts cannot logistically produce any truths. All they can spawn are lies and deceit.
Mario Cuomo and other American Democrats are “Social Democrats.” They espouse the same ideas and methods as the Communists with the difference that Democrats are moderates. However, their intent to replace multi-party democratic governments with single-party rule by their own faction, essentially makes them proponents of single-party dictatorship.
Curtis Sliwa is a “Gut-Sense-Scientific” Republican like President Donald Trump.
Like President Trump, Sliwa espouses ideas and methods dictated by common sense, i.e., science as dictated by gut sense experience and knowledge of basic principles of science acquired by past successes.
The fundamental difference between the “Gut-Sense” Republicans and Socialists of all persuasions is that methods of the former have a proven and better chance of succeeding and working logistically when implemented. As opposed to this, concepts and plans of the latter have no logistical or scientific chance of ever working. This has been proved by the FACT that their ideas have been tested in real life, have never worked in the past, and/or have always ended in failures, disasters, deaths and destructions of every description.
And that brings me to India’s experience with an “inadvertent” experiment in Democratic Socialism alluded to in the title of this blog.
In 1957, ten years after India gained independence from Britain, the world’s largest and second most successful Democracy experienced “an unplanned experiment” in Social Democracy!
The “Social Democrats” of the Communist Part of the Indian State of Kerala won a majority of the seats at the State’s General Assembly elections and took over the governance of the State.
It was the first and only time in world history that a Communist Party had assumed power by democratic election instead of by a bloody revolution!
The Marxist Democrats had seized victory by using the same strategy Mamdani and the Democrats have been using in America with the difference that Mamdani has perfected it and taken it to its extreme.
The fundamental strategy of Democratic Socialists and Socialistic Democrats has four fundamental components.
First, is to promise everyone everything they want, and to do whatever it takes to get people to vote for them.
In their minds, Democracy consists of winning elections, getting elected and staying elected. The fact that Democracy is a method of governance meant to solve the people’s problems that the people cannot solve by themselves, does not exist in their minds.
The fact that they will never, ever, be able to deliver on any of their promises because these promises are scientifically and/or logistically impossible to deliver, does not faze them a bit.
Second is the principle of blaming everyone else but themselves for their failures and their mistakes when their efforts fail as they will inevitably do in the end.
Their third principle is to take credit for everything desirable that happens even if they had nothing to do with it!
Fourth is to do everything they can to silence, castrate, paralyze and/or eliminate their opponents every which way they can. They believe that everything is fair in politics the way everyone thinks that everything is fair to do considered to be in war and love.
Therefore, upon assuming control of the State Government in Kerala, the first thing the victorious “Democratic Socialists” did was to reveal their true colors and intentions, those of the Marxist-Communists that they were.
First, they started phasing out religious studies in schools and replacing them with indoctrination in Marxist philosophy as recommended by Karl Marx, their founder. That did not sit well with the silent but very religious majority.
Second, they started spying on parents by appointing Marxist teachers and encouraging their pupils to discuss their parents’ domestic political conversations with them. This enraged everyone.
Third, last, and by no means the least, they did nothing about delivering on any of their promises.
The fiercely independent freedom-loving and religious population of Kerala, realized that the price they had paid for buying into the implausible promises of the Democratic Socialists, was their freedoms … their freedom of religion, their freedom of speech, and their freedom to live their own lives the way they chose.
Over the next two years, Keralites united. They rallied and demonstrated on the streets. They struck work and paralyzed the State’s Communist government and made it non-functional.
Indira Gandhi was then the Prime Minister of India. She dismissed the democratically elected but paralyzed Communist Government in what became the first and only instance in world history that a Communist government had been deposed without a bloody revolution. Then, she instituted President’s rule and ordered a re-election.
In that re-election, the democratic socialists of the Communist Party were routed! That was the beginning of the end of the dominance of the Communist Party as the one of the India’s leading opposition parties! Communists have not been able to form another government anywhere in India except as minor coalition partners.
I do not know who is going to win the New York City election. Therefore, the purpose of this blog is to state my two cents’ worth and predict that a Mamdani or Cuomo win will be scientific disaster.
However, the good news is that such a win will become a blessing in disguise for American Democracy the way the Communist victory was for Kerala sixty plus years ago, if it serves as the proverbial “third strike” against “Democratic Socialists and Social Democrats.
The Biden Presidency would then become the first strike because Obama and the Social Democrats hijacked the Presidency of the ailing Joe Biden and used him as a puppet on a string to impose their unscientific, unrealistic, and implausible hopes, beliefs, and implausible plans on the rest of the country.
The second strike would be the 2024 Kamala Harris bid for the Presidency. In that bid, Harris proved that a winning smile, a disarming demeanor, and word salad-based plans of action are no substitutes for a robust gut sense, experience, and a knowledge of proven scientific algorithms for success. In addition, President Trump has proved that leadership by a benevolent democratic quasi-dictatorial person like him is a prerequisite.
In this regard, Curtis Sliwa, the Conservative candidate with proven ability to solve the city’s problems using scientifically proven methods, is in my opinion, the most eligible candidate in this election. Unfortunately, he is trailing at the polls in third place.
The predicably disastrous outcome of a Mamdani or Cuomo victory, when it materializes, must inspire a recall signature campaign. Then, hopefully, at the ensuing recall election, Sliwa or the next conservative candidate whoever that might be, will experience the landslide victory s/he, the city and our country needs and deserves.
